Serving/Care
Each unique KOBO candle aroma has been consciously developed to create a multi-dimensional, enriching ambiance. Every hand-poured KOBO candle has been carefully created and tested to burn with maximum efficiency to the bottom. Using clean-burning and non-polluting GMO-free U.S. grown soy and cotton enviro-safe wicks, with the proper care and simple maintenance your candle will perform beautifully and memorably.
For optimum performance, burn candle for 2-5 hours at a time. This will allow the candle to create a wide burn pool and melt evenly. As the candle melts down, it will create a burn pool to the edges of the glass. This is the desired effect.
A successive number of short burns may create a tunneling effect. Tunneling happens when the candle is extinguished after short burns and is not able to create a wide burn pool. If this does happen it can often be set right by leaving the length of the wick longer by not trimming it prior to burning. It also may be necessary to allow the candle to burn longer than usual until the burn pool is widened. Please abide by candles safety standards while burning candles at all times.
- Trim the wick to 3/8# prior to each burn
- Keep out of drafts and rotate periodically
- Keep out of direct sunlight
- Do not ingest
If candle starts to pool to one side more than the other it may be the result of draft, uneven surface or a leaning wick. Remedy this by adjusting the wick to the correct position.
If you are experiencing smoke from the wick, it is most likely due to not trimming. The wicks may give a small degree of smoke when just lit. Once they attain ample heating they will burn without smoke. If smoke persists it is most likely a wick that needs trimming or a breeze that is not allowing ample heat to generate. Following the steps above will maximize the enjoyment of your candle, which can last about 2 years.
